PDFPen by SmileOnMyMac
PDF files are ubiquitous when it comes to creating and sharing documents. Yet, unless you have an Adobe Acrobat Pro, you will have a hard time annotating pdf files. Preview does offer some annotation features, but PDFPen for the iPad gives you that control at your finger tips. PDFPen allows you to add text anywhere on a document, sign your name, add highlights, shapes, arrows and call outs. You can also import your own media and use proofing mark up symbols to add corrections to your document. When you are done, you can open the file in another document, copy to itunes, email, or send to Dropbox or Evernote. There are plenty of PDF apps available, but PDFPen is most arguably the best solution for the iPad. The iPad app is $14.99 in the App Store.
