PHOTOS IN ACTION
Foolproof by Studio Mee turns your photos into action paintings. You can import any photo, but portraits work the best. The application interface is designed like a virtual artist's studio. You begin by choosing an easel with a textured canvas, with warm or cool tones. The canvas conceals the photo and you have the option to choose thick or narrow brushstrokes. Using your finger as a brush, you begin by swiping across the textured canvas with rapid gestures, as quick zigzag patterns of color begin to reveal the photo underneath. You can reveal details of the photo by slowing the pace of your finger.
FEATURES OF GOOD DESIGN
Foolproof offers some pretty nice features and they're well designed to enhance the user experience. The application offers special effects that echo the creative process of mixing and applying paint, and other sounds that indicate a transformation or process. Animations also add to the visual appeal of the application, as tool bars engender actions that rise and fall across the surface. The process more so than the end result is what gives Foolproof its distinction and appeal. In order to accentuate this feature, you can also save your action photo as a movie captured in normal speed, twice, four times, or eight times the normal speed for a beautiful record of your process from start to finish. It the experience and visual appeal that you will admire the most, not mention the amazing results you are able to achieve.
